Adopt A Swimmer - Plettenberg Bay

Ready to make a splash?

It’s what we love to do and we’re hoping you join us. At Adopt a Swimmer, we believe that everyone has the power to make a difference, and we do it through one of our greatest loves and life’s most vital skills – swimming!

Being able to swim saves lives, prevents accidents, and gives joy. Swimming together creates healthy, active communities that love each other, the water and nature.

Through the support of our sponsors and passionate team-members (and that could include you…), AAS has been giving our children a lifesaving skill and boosting their confidence since 2011.

Since joining Coach Louise and the adopt a swimmer group this year, I am no longer scared of the water. I love to play in the water, but it is so dangerous. Now I feel safe.

Cazwille Oliphant, ASS swimmer

I like to swim very much, I have learned to get used to the cold water. Thanks to Adopt a swimmer, I learned a lot.

El-Duveen, ASS swimmer

Adopt a swimmer has made me used to the water. I have learned so much from Coach Louise. I can now swim on my own and can do so much more in the water. In Kranshoek, where I live, there is no swimming pool. The sea is also very far.

Sivrihanna Le Fleur, ASS swimmer

Swimming is my favourite sport. I always wanted to swim. I love it when we learn all the different techniques. I am no longer afraid to be in the pool or to get in. I am used to it by now. I have become a brave girl since I started and I can now go a little deeper. Thank you ADOPT A SWIMMER
